The dress looks pretty nice but I cannot see a real scheme for the lightning.

It's strange but there are very few western artists able to pull off the Manga style effectively...This has much to commend it and i can see the influences (the Shirow-like use of pattern on the dress) so you know your source material...but this lacks the explosive energy, grace of line and pushed to the limit anatomy and expression of the real thing!

There are some severe proportional problems here to...even given the Manga 'big head, huge hair' thing...her arms are to short...grab a broom, adopt the pose and see for yourself...and her bust seems to start at her throat!

The colour and colour transitions are handled very well...particularly in the hair...and there's plenty of attention to detail...though everything looks a little flat and cut out!

All these crits make me sound like I hate this...i don't..it has a lot going for it...and the more of these you do the easier and better they will become!

Hmm.. The katana's blade is very... blunt and since it seems to be the focus of this picture, I have to say it could have been better.
The Kimono texture... Silk? no, that can't be. Reflective surface of it suggest otherwise.

I'd have to give you 3/8 for this one.
Sorry, but IMO it had quite a bit of length to go.
